What money rolls, in your opinion has the greatest on average for modern bank rolls:
1. Total silver weight per face value put into the rolls (of course, the coins will be cashed in, but I'm talking about upfront costs)?
2. Total silver weight per time spent on doing coin roll hunting?

Tons of posts here on this topic, check out the link in my signature for my views on the War Nickels. Which rolls have better chances? No clue totally random and down to dumb luck I have yet to find a silver quarter thou.

Ah... The only trouble is in their acquisition. Of course, once you're there, I'm sure you will get a lot of 40%

I average one 40% every other box of halves. If you have the capital to do a box or two a week, I would recommend it. Otherwise, nickels are the way to go for me. I find slightly more silver in dimes, but nickels are way more exciting. Dimes are sooooooo boring!

You will get a different answer from everyone my friend. The only way to find out is to dive in head first.
As a roll hunter since 1977, I would say that they are ALL good.

I agree with Fist that you'll get different answers from CRHers...and with good reason. It's different depending on your region and circumstances. That said, I still have some thoughts.
If we were looking at the 'mean', I'd say dimes. Over the long haul, half dollars have easily been the most productive when talking silver weight/$ searched.
Dimes are way more consistent. Half dollars have a better chance at finding a monster box. If you read the forum, you'll find that several people have found 20, 50, 100 or more silver halves in a box. A couple of those boxes will bring your average/box way up. You seldom see those collection dumps in dime boxes.
I've weathered a 40+ box skunk streak with halves. I've also found 300 40%ers in a box and 200+ Franklins in a box. Without those two boxes, it would be a lot closer.

Been searching dimes steadily the last six years, so yes they are my fav.
Just turned down my first $1k bag, of which I've bought doxens. No time to get to the bank, as I've been working 11 and 12 hr days lately. I have to cancel my account at this bank as there have been no fees (on savings accts) for five years, until now.
