Might not be valuable, but it sure is a neat coin. I haven't seen any type of imperfection on a Sac yet. Pretty dramatic crack, I like it.

Not just the large noticeable die crack on the right, but there is another one starting under the U of United States. Actually these are not as pricey as one would suspect, but they are a pretty uncommon error since the mint assigns so many strikes to a die and then retires it before this should occur.

Well...I'd pay a premium for it. Die cracks always add interest to the coin, as far as I'm concerned.
Congratulations!!

That is really neat and a great find. For a DIE CRACK on a SAC is great with a little premium.

I'd pay $15 for it. How's that for a little premium. Then I could spend the rest of my life looking for an earlier or later die state.

Since I can't find a reason to argue for a higher or lower value, I'd say $15 is about spot on, if only because it might give me a reason to get out of bed in the morning (for a while, anyway).

Its a 2000-P coin .there are actually three cracks ,another begins under the U and runs across to the O of One ,, and another that starts at the R of Dollar and runs through the tail feathers .

Very interesting piece! Finding a later die state seems unlikely then since there are so many cracks and the die was probably was retired very soon after this strike. Metalman, what do you think it is worth?

t360 I have no clue what if any value a coin like this would have ,, techniquely it should not have any premium value , but I know that there is a small market for such coins based on collector interest that would fetch something over face value ,, just what that would be is anybody's guess.
one day it maybe 5X face another day with a couple of guy's who get into a (I want it ) match it may be 10 or 15X face ,,there is just no real reliable way to fix a value for such things.

Not really a die crack. That is one of the rare ones where the Eagle had just shed a feather when the die for that reverse was being made. So what you think is an error is just a loose wing feather. Of course it is a nice one. By the way if you go to coin shows you'll notice an amazing increase in error coins, books on errors, dealers selling errors. It is becoming an almost completely separate hobby. Yours is valuable.
