papamurphy New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 07/30/2014 5:39 pm a buddy of mine found this coin after his dad died, looking for a rough value on his behalf, far as I can tell it's a Bavarian coin but my online searches have come up with nothing from 1876 that matches this coin! any information about this coin would be much appreciated. Sorry to be the bearers of bad news, but I have to agree. On this basis it cannot be genuine. Nor is it a "mint error", a wrong-date mule of some kind, since the dies used to make it were not genuine, either - the genuine coins have a denticled border; on this coin, the border has become detached from the rim, creating a beaded border. Compare with genuine Ludwig II reverse and Otto obverse. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C.
