I'll be somewhere, in the middle of nowhere, in northern Labrador... conducting fieldwork. I have never been to an RCNA - fieldwork and summertime coin shows always conflict with me... Have fun all... leave those nickel dollar errors alone!!

Thanks SPP,..and I promise to place all of the interesting nickel dollars to the side for you,. ....and all you have to do is bring back some nice shiny pieces of interesting metal or maybe even some kimberlite for us.. ....but don't bring back any of those nasty black flies that you might happen to fall prey to..

Just got back from two days at the RCNA convention at the Meadowvale Convention centre just outside Toronto. Met some truly fascinating people. The NNE group was particularly interesting. (Newfoundland Numismatic Enthusiasts ) group. They had a speaker from the Ferryland, Newfoundland dig site taking about the history of the area and the items they've found during the dig.

I went there and it was good to meet some people. I was amazed to see samples of counterfeit notes brought by the speaker from Bank of Canada. I can see how it can fool even experienced people.
