Look at the upper left side - the arrow head.

I was looking at that arrow. Wasn't sure if that would have been enough for me to call it a double die, but it darn sure is. Good find.

My first thought was DDO, but I couldn't see any signs of it, so I gave up. Cool find!

Yep it's definitely the DDO it is, my first lowball 2¢ variety! How low will it go? What do you all think AG3 or FR2? I don't think it's enough wear to warrant a P01 grade. Quote: nice purchase at a decent price Don't know about that, I think I may have paid a bit much. wonder if the under-bidder noticed it too? I placed my bid about 2.5 hours before the end of the auction, and promptly forgot about it as I cooked dinner. When I checked my phone I found out I had won. I checked the bid history and nobody was bidding after me until so I'm thinking nobody else saw it either. The under bidder placed his bids a little after mine, my automatic bidding took over, was close to my limit, but did not reach it. Might have to hold this one for one of the ANACS Free submissions for Insiders deals they run every once in awhile.

What does the arrow tell you? With the motto gone I can see no doubling on that of course.

I'm generally looking at the lower point of the arrowhead on the left. Here is a little photo showing one of my old MS64RB DDO and the coin I just bought off of ebay. Even when fairly worn, and you can't see the motto (where the doubling really shows nicely) the lower arrow head should show two distinct points protruding. I could tell even on the ebay photo (shown) though it's not quite in focus and slightly blurred due to a low shutter speed and the seller shaking or moving the camera somewhat when the photo was snapped. Hope this helps. Good hunting.

Thanks westcoin. I even waited for the end and threw my bid up some, but no one else wanted to play. Might be in fine condition.
