Very nice.

I had never heard about the Canada or Mexico type set albums.

I think I will need to find myself a pair of the Canadas.

I have been thinking of doing one of these sets too.
Maybe just a year/date set ..

Might as well do the whole thing there are only a three mintmarks in the whole series. And just a couple varieties.

They have not made them in a number of years ..

And they are not cheap when you do find them.

I have never seen a album for Canadian large cents, so not really sure which coins are required ...

But when I look at the price guides .. and see coins like
the 1859 brass ... that would be one I would not want to buy.

The price guides seem to show quite a few varieties .. at least for some of the early ones ...

I will try to check out a album for one.

You had me at type set you had me at type set.

I'm in love you know my love is type sets. I never knew there was dansco albums of these (I knew of a Mexico dansco 7020) but never of the Canada ones I figured I was going to have to eventually do the old Whitman bookshelf albums of these.

You are my hero.

I didn't even know there was a Mexican type set put out by Danco. Looks very slick and it seems like a good option. Now I need to go find one.

I've been working on my Mexican type set. Mexico has produced so many coins though that it is going very slowly. There are tons of varieties too that have sub numbers in Krause, and I feel the need to get those too.

It has 6 pages with different dimensions. 36mm page 12 coins, 37mm 12 coins, 38mm 9 coins, 39mm 9 coins, 40mm 9 coins and 42mm 9 coins. The pages aren't marked and the only problem I see is some sizes are going to more popular then others like the 38mm (I didn't even have anything to put in the 40mm page as my silver eagle had to go into the 42mm page). I might buy extra 38mm pages and see if I can find something to buffer the few 36's or 37's in 38mm pages. I have a liberitad and my Spanish milled 4 real (I know it's small at 33mm) on the 36 page and my philharmonic on my 37mm page.

I like the album it's just going to get tricky the more coins I get. I filled a lot of the 38 page up with us commemoratives an Ike dollar, a Churchill crown and a maple leaf.

I am at a loss why Dansco never updates or releases these albums, I mean they are popular enough to command $75 on the secondary market and Dansco is not seeing any of that just like the 7070. I mean the 7070 might be the most popular Dansco album ever and yet they haven't made them in almost a decade, while these Canadian and Mexican type sets might not be as popular as the 7070 there is still a demand for them. I also wonder if they ever made a UK one now that I am finding out about Canadian and Mexican ones just long out of print.
