Ok so I know there was never a 1934-S Nickel struck but I inherited some coins from my uncle about 10 years ago and there was such a coin in his possession. It is very much worn but can still make out the mint mark. I have really been doing a search for a number of years on this coin and only get the answer ( your nuts) so I decided to buy an image cam so I can get some real answers on this coin. I don't understand how to upload a photo. I can't wait to hear what everyone has to say.

Here is the tutorial about uploading and posting images

Probably the date or mint mark is altered or damaged to look like 1934 S

In 1932,33, 34 the Mint workers that made Nickels in SanFranciso were told they were being told no more work. So they stayed anyway and made Nickels but didn't tell anyone and slowly put a few out in circulation. This was done as sort of a protest. It worked since they started to make Nickels again.
OR yours is just a possible hit at that spot.

Maybe a worn 1924 S? Given the right wear, I could look like a 1934.

Ok here are some pics for all to look at. I will try to get some better one's but since the coin is so worn down it will be tough to get them any better than this.

To me, it looks less like a mint mark and more like the coin took a hit

As much as you want it to be, it is not an "S". It is post mint damage around the area where the mint mark would be. It may be deliberate, it may be from circulation.

If you don't believe me, you can send your coin to PCGS, NGC or ANACS and they will take about 6-8 weeks to tell you the same thing for a nominal fee (plus postage and insurance).

It's PMD...no need to send it in.

OR if you look closely you'll notice it could well be a G.
Very rare Georgia Mint. Only made one coin and shut down.
Or just PMD.
