I won this set of War Nickels on ebay tonight for $24.00. They look like they might be uncirculated. If they are I sure got a great deal. What do people think?   Paul Bulgerin

Melt value is about $13
If they do turn out to be uncirculated they are worth at least $3-5 each. So $24 is not bad. If they are circulated, they aren't worth much over melt though.

Really nice deal. All look in great shape and regardless of Unc or not, still a pretty good deal. When you get them, check carefully for Things like the 43/42 or the famous 43P double eye. So few look for those.

There's definitely at least 3 AU there from what I can tell, and to get them all is pretty good too. I think you did alright, will be easier to tell when you put up pics yourself.

I would have picked them up too. I was in an antique mall this morning and they had the same set at $35.00.

I purchased one of these sets at a local auction house a few months ago. You may want to remove them from the holder, I think the plastic is PVC.

$25, I would have bid if I'd have seen it. Nice pickup. UNC sets go for $50+, usually $60-$80.
