Thanks

(124) Not Allowed - Auto-Removed .com has this info.

I'd say $1 tops.

Someone locally to me has offered me 50 War Nickels (almost all circulated) for $45. Not sure if I should take it (need some fillers in my collection), guess I will call my LCS and ask

If you're looking to flip it for profit, don't do it.

If you plan to sell them, wait until silver rises. Right now, you wouldn't make a profit. If you could get them for 40 or maybe even 35, then that would be better.

Well it's at 19.43 right now, which is pretty low. I'd say when you can come close to doubling your money.

A coin shop in my area was offering 45 cents a few months back. War Nickels like 40% Kennedy halves sell well back of melt value.

Gill3814 - if you are filling holes, purchasing a full set of AU coins from your LCS would cost about the same especially if you have a coin exchange board.

But then you wouldn't have a nice small pile of silver.

Silver has been quite stagnant for a couple years now. You can put those nickels away, but be prepared to possibly wait years for silver to rise. I waited over 30 years for the last higher price ceiling (2011).
