This is the S-1b "Bar Lip" variety

Sent it to NGC this week. We will see what they say.

Did you request the Snow attribution be added to the label?
NGC won't do that unless that's done and paid for.

I'm torn between AU 58 and MS 63. Could go either way. Nice coin and interesting variety.

Unfortunately, NGC does not recognize this variety on their labels.

I did submit a few varieties that will be labeled. (1871 Shallow N UNC, 1869/9 S-4 UNC, 1883 S-1 UNC, 1887 S-1 XF/AU)

As for this coin, I bet it will come back MS63BN or 64BN. I've had the advantage of viewing the coin in hand. While I think I get pretty good pictures, this coin has much more red than the pictures show. The marks on the reverse are heavier die lines, not scratches.

I'd be shocked if was less than 64RB. Good luck!

Technical AU-58, but will probably be bumped up to an MS-62/63.
