Wow, that's one nice nasty die crack through the N. Here's one of my 1871 5c's that has a crack through the "O"

Maybe they all have die cracks..

My 1871 has d/c's all around the reverse,

... and multiple die clashes that can be seen above the C in CENTS and around the fields,..

..and a repunched 1 and 7 in the date.

Those dies were probably worked to death..

Seems like it, I've seen one at the CNS show last year that had a crack nearly as long as the date diagonally through through Victoria and into the rim.

One thing's for sure though, that 1871 of yours sure is nicer than any of mine
