One of the error coins from my last CRH - a fun find. I was pleasantly surprised to see the revers was affected as well.

Looks like a keeper. About 50% blockage. There really get interesting when even more blockage is present.

Nice. A little acetone might help that one.

Hi folks - thanks for having a look and the input. I thought about some acetone but opted to snap a couple pics and put it in a flip. I can always pull it out for a bath but snugly wrapped for now.

Coop - when I saw the reverse the images you posted came to mind. I'll take 50% but would love to find a specimen like the one you found!

I bought this one off ebay years ago thinking at that time it was a trial strike/low pressure strike, but with the rims in place, I learned it was a struck through error (grease). Many have seen this over the years and marveled at it.

from the images posted - I cannot even see clearly that it is a 1995. I presume that it is more obvious in hand.

wouldn't it be cool if you had a DDO (which would be visible on the liberty - still) and be the Grease Filled Die. I winder how that would affect the coins value (hypothetically).

dbarblec - yes, in hand you can make out the date. Thankfully it isn't DDO but I have other DDs with roadrash.

This is a 2000 Greaser I found; hard to make out the date even in hand.

Nice greasers! Thats a good tip coop, as I often wondered how to tell the difference between a trial strike and a die filled with grease. Cool

Here is a side by side of the Struck through (grease) and a weak strike.

Thanks Coop. I was wondering what low pressure strike looked like. I assume this is an event discreet to hydraulic presses?

Correct. The lack of pressure created an error worth keeping.
