Could be (I suspect) die wear...but the inside of the upper 3's curve has me stumped. Thoughts...opinions?

The bottom outside loop of the 3 definitely looks like die wear, there's lots of flow lines which makes me suspect that it would explain all the other devices as well.

The upper inside loop of the 3 does look a bit odd though, can die wear move inwards as well as outwards?

The portion on inside loop is more solid also were the outer is more of a shadow/flow I usually see with die wear. Puzzle?
Thx for looking.

Adam: do you mind if I add this image to my educational image library? I have examples of the "So Called" 1955 poor man's doubled die. But I don't have the 1953 example yet? 1950's wheat cents were over used till the Die Deterioration looks like this on many years during that decade.
