The bottom outside loop of the 3 definitely looks like die wear, there's lots of flow lines which makes me suspect that it would explain all the other devices as well.
The upper inside loop of the 3 does look a bit odd though, can die wear move inwards as well as outwards?
Adam: do you mind if I add this image to my educational image library? I have examples of the "So Called" 1955 poor man's doubled die. But I don't have the 1953 example yet? 1950's wheat cents were over used till the Die Deterioration looks like this on many years during that decade.
