I'm curious to see what types of notes everyone is currently collecting. Do you only collect silver certificates, gold certificates, u.s. notes, national currency, or a little of each.

Is there anyone out there who just collects small size notes, or just large size notes? Or are there any denomination collectors out there?

Also please post a picture of your latest purchase.

Thank you! (Sorry for all of the questions)

Don't really care for USA notes unless they are pre-1923. This is my most recent acquisition for my USA collection:

Not really a pretty note, which is why I really don't care for USA banknotes. But it still is a lot of money. I like to think of what I could have bought back in ca. 1937 or so when it was printed.

Scotty, I'm loving that $500 note. I bet that's a great conversation piece.

I've been doing coins for years. Notes are definitely a direction I'd like to branch out into. I have a few specimens, nothing like this one though.

Usually I don't go out of my way to collect notes, but somehow they keep finding me. I have 73 notes of various denominations from many countries.
The only note I have purchased is this one...

Very nice $500 note, Scottishmoney!

Looks like you could have walked into a car dealership and bought a brand new Ford or Chevy with it in 1934! You would need about a $20,000 note to do that today!
