Although I do not collect Morgan dollars, I still enjoy the coin because of the history, design, a little bit of myth, and the aura of appreciating an UNC. Vest pocket dealer called last Saturday, advising he purchased an almost complete set of Morgans and inquired if I would be interested. Picked 7 pieces, in my opinion, the best of the bunch (somebody had purchased others before me, so I don't know what I missed out on). So, please forgive the pictures, but believe you can see the luster on all. Believe it or not, I am going to take advantage of the ANACS fall special and have these graded. 1879 Philly 1880 San Fran 1881 San Fran Edited by acloco 10/07/2014 11:46 pm

Nice Morgan dollars. They are a little blurry, can you get clearer pictures?

They seem to be in the MS-63 to 64 ballpark with maybe the 1886 and 1887 having the best chance at a 64. Very nice coins!

They all look MS to me, but better pics are needed. It looks like a nice bunch.

Beautiful! Better pics needed, but I think it's safe to say that these are all in the 62 to 65 range.

I am going to retake the pictures in higher resolution, then repost. Hopefully get this taken care of tonight. I forgot how much resolution is lost when use 125kb pictures, then cropping, makes on the clarity. ARGH! :)

Slightly out of focus will never be solved, but there is a difference when starting with a 1.9 M file, versus 120 K.

Agree westernsky. Interesting enough, the reverse on every Morgan in this bunch is superb. As can be made out in my slightly blurry pictures, almost every obverse has a couple of ticks/rubs. Wish the OBV were as nice as the REVs!

They mostly appear to be MS64 except for the 1881 & 1887 which are MS63 in my opinion, hard to tell from the photos, they all look quite lustrous, but the focus is off. Quote: Wish the OBV were as nice as the REVs! That's the case with almost ever Morgan dollar out there unfortunately.
