The following is a release from the National Crime Information Center

A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the recovery of a 1795 small eagle NGC MS62 #1948078-003

Lost by FedEx September 23rd. The coin was last scanned at the Memphis FedEx location.

Next time try Registered Mail, USPS, Insured. I've NEVER had a USPS Registered package come up missing in over 30 years. It may go slow, but at least it shows up!

And FedEx won't insure the loss either (or they MIGHT up to $1,000). Hope they carried private insurance on it.

Conder I sold some stuff on consignment for a rare violin dealer that could get up to $50K insurance on FedEx packages, I used his account to ship his stuff. I guess he may have had a special deal with them though. Side note: A lot of his violins he still had to ship the bow separately.

He may have had private insurance and your material was covered under that policy, or the FedEx insurance may have covered the violins. They DON'T cover coins for more than $1,000. And it used to be they didn't have even that coverage.
