Only fault (and supper minor one at that) is if you want to have a '53-'99 type set you should replace that poppy quarter with a design fitting your time frame. Maybe a provincial quarter?

I did not catch that .. thanks for pointing it out. When I got the albums I was just putting any coins I liked into the empty holes. I will keep a eye out for a better quarter .... Also seeing the pictures I see some of the coins I might upgrade .. like the 1967 dollar .. is smudged ... I pull it out of a silver bucket ... so will watch for a better one.

Wow, that's a good collection although you really do have to get a type set that includes classic Canadian coinage, that's the best part

I am guessing you are talking about the coins in album one. (see link I posted at the beginning of this post) I also posted I am about 10 coins from completing that album .. although I did add a 2X2 page to that book .. so I can add some coins there are not holes for. I hope to post update pictures for that album when I get closer to getting it done.

Congratulations, very nice collection!
How does storing the proof silver dollars this way affect the finish (toning or tarnish)? What is the difference compared to storing in capsules?

If I had to say, Air-tite capsules are the best way to store coins. Of course coins should be kept in a climate controlled environment, or it might not matter what type of holder you keep them in. I have had good luck with Dansco albums, I have around 50 of them. Once I complete a album, I put them in a album slip cover. Then I put into a large zip lock bag.

My Canadian type set goes from 1858 to 1968 5 pages #7210. I was out of collecting for many years and trying to get back into collecting and fill some empty spaces. There are a lot of coins minted after 1968. I may have to get that 1953 to date book before the coins are all recycled

Gary.. the ARP is pretty aggressive .. so if you're planning on getting most of your coins CRH'ing I would suggest you work on it soon...
Last time I got a box of nickles it was mostly skunks..
