500+ German 1000 Mark notes came into a LCS today.
Is it worth picking any of these up.

What is a good price?

I did a quick look on ebay ... Seems like on there they trade
around $1.00 each.

Are there any better ones to look for?

You will want to look in the Rosenberg catalog of German paper money (written in German but easy to use) to determine if there are any scarcer block letters in the group.

Condition is everything for these, some of them look AU, worth picking up some if the price is right.

Six digit numbers are the best ones to get, that's 6x the value of the 7 digit numbers. Green numbers are the first issues, red numbers the inflation reprints.

Thanks for the information

Yes some of them look AU. There were 3 different 6 digit notes, but their condition were lower grade.

There are several groups of consecutive serial numbers. I think the biggest/longest string was 20 notes.

I think I can pick them up for .75 cents a note. Maybe better if I buy a larger amount.

I doubt it's easy to sell them so maybe $100 at maximum and check it up if they are legitime.
