Little help on this one. Is the right side of the wreath worn or is that something else? The grade would also be appreciated. Its going to get a details grade because of that scratch on the wreath correct? The first photo is the correct color just came out blurry.
Thanks everybody.

Tried it with a darker background. Didnt really change much. I guess I'm in agreeance with the group and I got duped. Off to email the guy I bought it from and see about a return.

It might just be me, but It looks fake, especially on the obverse. Both the rim and the date look wrong, plus the details on the eagle are a bit mushy. Let's see what others say.

I was thinking the same thing. The date definitely looks off and looks very porous. The denticles also look off. I highly question its authenticity.

The date looks weird to me also. never seen such thick digits. I am sure an expert will be along to confirm.

At first glance, I noticed the rims...then I saw the date.
The digits are just not shaped right, especially inside the 8's.
The distance of 85 is wrong too--it just can't be real. That sucks.

It took me a second glance to see it was fake. Why would someone counterfeit this date? It looks to good to be a fake cent intended to circulate around the time of the FEC.

To fool collectors who aren't too familiar with the series. If made somewhere with lower tooling/labor costs, it could be profitable...

If only I (Corndog) paid 30 bucks. I was so focused on the wreath discrepancy that I hadn't even considered the date so be wrong.
