AU BN? Bit of color, bit of carbon spotting. I will soak for a few hours in Verdi-Care and than house it permanently in its flip

I'm at XF45 details.and The color is screaming that this coin was cleaned and the wear on the stalks is too much for AU. In fact the right stalk appears to have PMD

Panz, so when old bronze like this is cleaned it gets that pastel coloring so pronounced? I'm new at this series.

DS...I'm not an expert on cleaned coins however the motled Colorado of blue green and red are sometimes indicative of a dipped coin where the solution was not rinsed properly. Over time the chemical reaction of the residual will produce what you see here. I have also seen this occur in baked coins

This date is known to Lincoln Specialist as one of the "Bad" years and from Denver. Wide spacing of the dies and the use of worn out dies were the norm for Denver coins of this year.

When worn out dies are used, you can have reverses with no wheat line details. In such cases the conventional grading tips go out the window.

This coin obviously has been minted with a worn out reverse die. For comparisons look at the various 1922-D "Weak reverses". The strike for an 1918-D on the obverse, is actually superior; for that year.

I agree on the wear, but I make it to be XF/AU. I'm unsure if this is a details grade or not.
