I know there not silver but they have a sertian ring to them many more nickel any help

Wow... I am not sure what you're asking there.

There are pre-64 Jefferson nickels out there that have some silver content. Certain nickels from 1942, and all 1943-45 are 35% silver. These are known as " War Nickels" because they were issued during WWII when nickel was needed for the war effort. The mint mark on these coins is large and displayed prominently over Monticello on the reverse.

other than the War Nickels mentioned, I believe the metal content and weight of the nickel has been the same since 1866

Are you saying that all pre-1964 nickels ring sounds different to you when compared to post-1964 nickels or do you just have some from before 1964 that to you sound different?
Personally, I went and flipped some of the many pre and post 1964 nickels I have laying around and I didn't notice any difference to my ears.
