OcalaFlorida Pillar of the Community United States 2824 Posts	Posted 11/05/2014 10:54 pm Is the shape and size of the date on this uncirculated 1923-p Mercury dime. Looks different wider to other I have and compared it too. possible class 6 DDO? mind you it is a fully struck uncirculated coin with not appearance of a hit or PMD in that area. any comments or suggestions? coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 11/07/2014 11:24 am The "3" tells me there was an issue with grease in the die at the time of your strike. The slight amount of grease in the makes the devices look wider, but they are tapered to be able to release after the strike. The slightest amount does affect the devices.
