I remember being told back in the 1960's that the reason the flag was upside-down was due to the stock market crash of 1929 and the Nation was in turmoil, the note also showed the vintage cars from that time period.
My father lived through the depression and I remember him saying how bad it was.

The flag is not upside down. The way the flag is waving makes it look that way.

All 10$ bills from that era "look" that way.

Also, the old car on those bills is a mix of different models. The Treasury did not want to promote one car maker over another.

I am not familiar with American notes, but your post got me interested.
So, I looked for a 1950 $10, and found this one -

my impression is that the flag in that pic is unrecognizable.
Not what I'd call a great example of engraving !

If someone offered you 10's of times face for it, take it quickly. If you read and paid attention to the earlier references, you have a normal bill.

What more information are you looking for?

You have been told it is not an error and that all the notes from that period look the same.

You have been told that it was intentionally made that way as a sign of distress because of the Depression.

In neither case is it an error. (FWIW, I looked through the Error Note Encyclopedia and it does not mention this anywhere. Apparently the author of that book has never heard of it either).

Since you refuse to show a picture of your note it is impossible for anyone to determine whether 10x face or 100x face or eleventy hundred million dollars is a reasonable price for your note.

Not the best advice.. you can do better!

There's more to life than just getting a quick and easy dollar.. there's integrity.. Hopefully you never meet a dealer with the same scruples as you have suggested... or you may end up with a fake in your own collection.

If some idiot offered you 10x for it you better take the money and run.

There is no shortage of stupid nor a shortage of old $10 bills with "an upside down flag". There is ZERO interest in your bill from collectors with a true knowledge of errors. Anyone that buys it on the pretense that it is a genuine BEP error is gonna be seriously disappointed when the truth is exposed.

You came here looking for answers. We give them to you. Argue all you want. You'll lose.
