I cleaned out my wife's change purse last night. It weighed almost three pounds!

Out of 139 cents, 65 of them were copper. Most of the copper was from the 1970's, but I did find two wheat cents. There were two Shield cents, but no Centennial cents. I did not find any CAM/WAM from the total of thirteen 1992/1998/1999/2000 cents.

All of the quarters were normal Washington or Statehood; no DC/Territorial or ATB Quarters in the bunch. Bummer.

Oh, although nothing to report, I sequestered all of her nickels as well.

Got two 2010-P Nickels yesterday.

I'm wondering if a quantity of 2010-P Nickels somehow made it all the way to the
Denver Federal Reserve Branch (which is only ten blocks away from the Denver Mint).

Very nice!

I am now seeing a large number of early Statehood Quarters in AU+ condition. I believe a lot of those saved rolls are being cashed in now.

AU+ Statehood Quarters are everywhere (in P mint on the east coast) but the fact that so many were made and so many are sitting in collections and drawers all over means that they will not be worth much in our lifetime. I do not see any DC/Territory or Park quarters ever. Kind of kills the fun of collecting a coin meant for commerce and it is only to be had if you pay a premium to get it. Still would like to find a few more 2008, 2009, 2010 coins from P and especially D mint in circulation. The dollar coins I can get from the bank at cost.....but only for the P mint. Oh, well one day they will circulate!
