Nice one from San Marino! I've yet got get one any San Marino coin from circulation. From my experience, Luxembourg coins aren't very rare, but I've only got 10cts-50cts. I haven't seen many commemorative coins at all in Euro circulation. Speaking of commemoratives, today I received a 2013 1 Krona coin, a scarce commemorative coin with a mintage of 5 million. It hasn't seen much circulation. The are scarce because many people hoard them, including me  . They are definitely a modern collectible. Image courtesy of the Riksbank.  |

Very nice. Commemoratives are very rare to find in circulation in the states, and I assume the same is true in Sweden.

About euro CC's I can say this: My collection of circulated ones would be much, much poorer if my girlfriend hasn't been working at a store :)

I have thousands of wheat pennies and the vast majority came from circulation. My dad also has a bunch that he is going to give me. I could very easily have something rare and valuable. I should get a list of the key dates and see what I have.

I had a very unusual coin in change today - a 2012D Lincoln Shield cent! Unusual because I live in England and it was given to me instead of an English penny. So I was under-changed by around half-a-cent! |

That's an interesting find. I would much rather get a British penny in circulation than an American cent- at least they're not subject to zinc rot.

Yesterday at work, I got a 1940 nickel and a 1995 $1 in my drawer. Today I got breakfast from a bagel place near me, and I got a 1979 penny and 1974 quarter in change!
(...I know, with that last part, that should give you an idea of my best finds from change received vs my best finds from work, coin roll hunting, and Coinstar)

I haven't found too many wheaties at work lately, but when I do, it seems like they're always older dates. First a 1917, then a 1918-D from a customer, and now, a 1929! And it was in a customer wrapped roll, so that pretty much confirms that the place I work at isn't getting my dumped pennies!

Last night at work, I opened a bank roll of nickels (just your average S&S roll) and there were TWO keepers- a 1952 and a 1945-P! That's my 3rd War Nickel in less than a month, and not to mention it was in a machine roll, too! |

Nice silver find  Just got another 2013 commemorative in considerably better conditon than my last one. A constant reminder to pay with cash - you might mind something nice! |

Yes. I always try to pay with tens and twenties on purchases of just a couple dollars, so I can check the change.

today, when I spent some halves at office depot, I received a 1958-D LWC with a little shine on it in my change. No big deal, but always nice to know every once in a great while you can get them.  |
