Picked up five rolls of Jefferson nickels from the bank ysterday and had a great time for four hours picking out better coins to replace the ones I had. I also found 2 from 1948, a 1949, 1951 and 1957, plus about 10 from the sixties. They were all circulated of course, but still made my day!

2006 D Roosevelt dime. Big deal, right? Here's the two reasons I personally consider it a good find. First, it's only the third one I have ever found in circulation. Secondly, this was the only one of the three which was in good enough shape that I wanted to keep it in my collection.

For the Aussies out there.... I have found my 4th 1985 Rabbit ear $1. This one is a different Cud to the others. In the same $400 lot, I found a Waltzing Matilda, Smithy Map, 2 X 2006 goatee roos and a 2005 die fill face. The teller also gave me a Eureka $1 that she had pulled from circulation earlier in the week. Now to go through $80 of 5 cent pieces

I have my World Coins book loaned out, and don't have a clue what I have.
So, not only is this "Interesting," but I would sure appreciate somebody identifying it. I would guess it's Scandinavian, but I don't know.
1977. One side has a crown, the letters CG, and the Roman Numeral XVI. Other side has 50 Sverige Ore.
Thanks for any help.

Gary, I am new to this forum, maybe someone answered your question already; I looked it up in my book, 1977 50 ORE from SWEDEN by your description. MOONSHINE

My son brought me home a nice find today. One of his friends at college was showing an "odd" coin that he had in his change. He was going to use it in a vending machine and my son offered him a quarter for it. He accepted so I now have a 1942 Mecury dime! In fairly decent, about XF, condition.

I've got a weird one - I found a 1957-D in at least MS-63 (has a little fingerprint juice on it. yuccch.) in my cash drawer at work. This is at least the 4th tine it's happened. All our change comes from the SF Nat bank, so I guess they get a lot of people who cash in Gramp's collection w/o looking at it, or something.

I just received a really nice 1949 Lincoln Wheat cent. It is a little worn, but is in at least VG condition. To think, if I did not collect coins, these little moment of happiness would be totally lost on me!!!

1992 Lincoln Cent, D, BU. It's 14 years old, yet not a mark on it and looking like it came straight from the mint.

I just received a 1944 Mercury dime in my change when I bought lunch. I spotted it as soon as the cashier put it in my hand, there's no mistaking a silver dime. What a charge!
