Found a 1948-D nickel on the floor in front of the ticket sale booth at the movies tonight.

After I got home I checked my change and some cashier gave me a 99 Susan B thinking it was a Quarter. Funny thing is someone else probably thought it was a quarter too.

Ralph, Congratulations on the 1950 D Jefferson.
I have three or four of them, but had to buy them.

Yes, and guess what I found!!!!
Four bank notes.
All from our trip to South America.
All notes were from Chile -- one 2000 peso note, two 5000 peso notes, and one 10,000 peso note.
They came out of my shirt pocket.
That's the good news!!
Here's the bad news.
The shirt had gone through the washer and dryer!!!!

Thanks Gary. Most 1950 D Jeffersons seen on ebay and other online auctions are in uncirculated condition (roll hoarding?), so I think finding one in pocket change is a rarity in itself.

Ralph, It's wonderful you found that coin. Happens so seldom. Same thing with 1970 D Kennedys. Once is a great while you hear about somebody finding one in circulation. Always makes you wonder how on earth they got there in the first place.

How the heck did you get an Ike dollar in irculation unless you were at a show or a coin shop. Not a size to be mistaken accidentally for something else like the Susan B, except for maybe a Roosevelt dime. I find nothing interesting in circulation anymore, other than new releases I don't have yet.

Found in a few rolls the other day: a 1983 canadian nickel a 57 D nickel and a 41 S nickel, in very nice condition for i's age. I grade it atleast fine. So I'm happy. Libertad: You can actually get Ikes and all from the bank, and other places as well. You can still spend them. But sometimes if you are lucky you can get an Ike at a bank. Depends though if they have one, lol. Phoenix

Tonight I went to a convenience store and bought a Diet Pepsi refill for 74 cents. My change was a 2007 Lincoln Cent and a Washington Statehood Quarter -- the first one I've seen.

What? Same here. Where do you live? I need to move. Never, see an Ike ever.
