http://fountainrealms.tk/uploads/ba...bb/Scan1.jpgJust acquired these and I would like to know what grade you would say these Mercs are. I am posting only the fronts of the coins that were scanned because the file is too big! Then, I will say both what the seller described the grade as and what I would give as grade (Note I did not give out the last number in the grade). 2 images of the back of 1941: 1942: 1941: 1944: Based on the above pics, do you think the 1941 would qualify as fsb? Just out of curiosity, what AU condition? The seller and I are not That bad coin graders, right? These coins are slightly higher than the holders on the scanner bed than the holders and since scanners have a low focal length, it was scanned quite blurringly, with everything lower than the coins themselves (ie the dusty mylar film) being scanned in more clearly.
The cien pesos that I put into the picture just to calibrate the location of the coins is not in a holder and seems to have scanned in accurately. That, I agree is AU55. The seller advertised it as AU58. I paid $9.50 a few days ago so that's a moderate purchase.
The dimes have much more eye appeal than the scan suggests and I will soon edit the post with pictures taken from a camera. Moreover, the wear on the high points is nonexistant.

Scanned images are impossible to accurately grade a coin from, especially when out of focus. Be sure and remove them from the 2x2 before photographing for best results.

On the obverse of the 1944, to the left of Liberty, you will see some marks that are wavy. Are they flow lines or scratches? I am certain they are not fingerprints. I see similar marks on the right side that are far fainter.
What overall grade and fsb status would you give to the coins?
SsuperDDave, I was told there was supposed to be diamonds on the band holding the fasces together.
