This may be a repeat of previous posts, but I'm too lazy to read the entire thread.

The mint created the perfect storm for flippers on this set. Low price and low mintage for a coin not available elsewhere. $74.70 isn't too much of an outlay to "see what happens". Technically it's really $69.70, because who wouldn't just take the dollar bill and stick it in their wallet. If they do this again next year, they should make the HH limit like 1 or 2.

It may be a flash in the pan, but I'd have to think that there are more than 75,000 serious dollar collectors out there and the price should stabilize fairly high. I don't know what I'd think if they decided to do a Prez C&C.

My order from 12/11 just shipped!

My set was "processing" for a day or two, and the money came out of the bank...
Then suddenly it was "backordered", and stayed that way until today. About
Christmas time, the money appeared back in my bank account, and not a refund
either... the transaction was nullified or something, all record of it gone,
as though it never happened. Today, money is gone, again, and I am tracking
my order. I am stunned. Can't believe it, and really didn't expect a large
lump sum of money to come out of my account. Luckily it was there...

The price was $13.95 (not $74.70) and the limit was 50,000 (not 75k)

..and $74.70 minus $1 isn't $69.70...

What am I missing that you are quoting?

What are these things going for now? I need to flip a couple fast to get
that money back in my account. LoL It was a pleasant surprise, but...

He was talking about the five set limit...5 x 13.95 + 4.95 shipping = $74.70. And $74.70 - $5 ($1 bill in each set) = $69.70.

Ahhhhhh..minor missing detail...that kinda makes sense..but when I ordered my bunch there was no HH limit so it didn't click in my brain..and when I saw the wrong mintage limit I thought he was referring to another product...

Thanks...

edited to add: I just looked at the latest selling prices and they seemed to have bumped up a tad...the last few sold at between $46-54

I just saw that the sets I ordered in Dec are on there way and should be here shortly.

What a strange order this has been. I think I talked with the mint 15 times and never got the same answer twice.

Hopefully there will be nothing wrong with them when they arrive.

I'm just curious about the sequential $1 bills in these sets. Has anyone who ordered a larger quantity, say 25+ sets, had all the bills in sequence? I'm aware that orders of 5 sets can have the bills in sequence, but what about larger orders?
