1943-Penny-With-Lamination-Flaw-Value? 1943-Penny-With-Lamination-Flaw-Value?

There's a big flap of metal sticking up here, it's solidly attached on one end and sticks up on the other. I've seen these before, is it quite a common error? (i.e. is it worth anything, I'm really not well-acquainted with the Australian market.) It's not mine, I've been entrusted by its owner to write a vague estimate for its value.

These type of errors are fairly common.
It would sell for about $10 I guess.

A small impurity in the strip of metal was present before the strip was rolled to thickness.
A small droplet of oil or similar could cause this.
Value wise, I agree with echidna.

It isn't worth $10. The penny is a common date and in very ordinary condition (plus it has a nasty spot). Pick these up for under 10 cents to 20 cents max.
The error itself is nice enough but isn't that uncommon. Unless it is dramatic in size most error collectors wouldn't pay much of a premium for a peel.

Sorry, but if I wanted it, I might offer $3, but no more.
