"At least some of the reverse dies for this extraordinary posthumous coinage were marked with a small dot." quote from Haxby leaves open an interpretation that not all of the 1936 coins minted in 1937 had the dot. Just based on that one quote you could get the idea that some of the regular 1936 quarters might actually have been minted in 1937 and put into circulation along with the dots. Not sure how you would be able to tell, or whether it really matters. Just something that struck me from the Haxby info.

Still waiting for your answer Pacificoin.

What research do you have that the 1936 25 cent dot is a 1937 issue?

If you think I am getting drawn into this mess Dean, you are mistaken. Just how many theories do you have on the " Kennedy Assassination anyways? " Let me see were there 3 dots or 4 dots or six shots or whatever! !

what's the point of all this? can we just agree that the dot issues were after the death of George the fifth and move on?
