I'm not a bill man but usually it's hard to get over face value for a lot of bills.

What makes you think you should do anything except spend them or deposit them into your bank?

What are you seeing that you believe would increase the face value of the notes? Can't see much of the $100 note, and the $1 note appears to have a bend, and the SN# is not interesting.

Quote: What are you seeing that you believe would increase the face value of the notes? Perhaps OP is referring to the age of the bills in question.

Spend the $100 - or change it into older or Unc $1/$2 notes if you want to make money
Its a lot of work but you can always make money on older or UNC $1/$2 notes, however you would need to sell a multiple to make a worthwhile profit

Condition is very important. If the notes are crisp or near that then maybe keep the $1. If the $100 is a low run and near crisp then keep it if you can. John1

Choice is yours. For myself, I would trade the hundred for a strapped pack of 1's to search for something with cool serial number. The one I would spend.

Check the bay to see what they have sold for. I have seen a 1988 $100 sell for $140. It was probably in great shape, but you might still get a premium. You just have to check to see what they have sold for and decide if that amount is worth the effort.
If you want them for yourself -- keep them. I'm keeping everything from the 1900's. But I separate what I think is has a premium from the spenders.

Please note though that items on the 'Bay get charged 15% so expect to get only 85% of the price someone pays.
