This can't be a legit dot cent. I don't know what TPG certified the dot cents but ICCS definitely didn't certify this one as a dot cent, he just stuck a label on the flip. 191374025171And if you look at his other listings they have bigger, better pics. He even has a 1936 dot dollar. That thing didn't even exist in the first place. Only one cent, 10 cents, and 25 cents were made with the dot. 201194443726He even makes his own variety names beginning with "stk".

Me neither. Should it be reported? I don't have an ebay account to do that with.

LOL, ask yourself, even if this was a legit '36 Dot cent, would you really want a coin in your Collection of that value when you could obtain the entire Victorian half dollar series in I.C.C.S. Mintstate for that price? Glenn

He just forgot to say "where" the dot is on those coins. Still..it's really bad to see this garbage out there.. It does not help our hobby...

Quote: I understand that ICCS has had a number of circulated 1936 dot cents submitted for certification but have never certified one genuine or fake https://goccf.com/t/70982

this is frustrating... especially when the seller can't really take proper pictures of where the dot is!

wireman09 pointed out exactly what caught my attention also, the "dot" comment on the flip sure looks fake to me !

Yes some of the most common things can go for insane sums on ebay. Yet the same day a rare treasure can be had for a song. Here's my example during summer I bought a very nice 2008 special edition dollar, it's the one for RCM 100th Anniversary. I got it for $49 Usd and free ship within the states. This coin sells for $125 -$200, with Solds commonly at $125 and a little over. It's at my friend in Arizona , as seller doesn't ship to Canada. Then summer of 2013 a 2011 1 Oz silver wolf color enhanced bullion coin sold for $450 Usd. This coin sells at the time for $80-$150 Usd. It's the old saying: one man's garbage is another man's treasure. I know many times I've given away stuff I could no longer use. I've also picked up things others had little use for. It's all perspective!!

I see 38 listings. Maybe I should open an ebay store and list something like "my old timetable: used" and see how much I can get for that. I know how one person's trash can be another's treasure. I have younger siblings so things such as clothes and textbooks usually get hand down. When they are not, my mom donates them to a local orphanage. pennyman, he's probably gone dotty looking at dot certified coins and is now seeing dots
