I stopped in at my local coin shop today to pick up a coin he had set aside for me. While I was there he pulled out a baggie of cent that were all broadstrikes and off centers since he knew I was into errors. He said he already had a bag like this and he would sell me this bag for $90. He had no idea how many were in the bag but he and I both guessed at least 90 pieces. I couldn't turn that deal down and bought the bag. There are 156 cents. One is 1998, one is 1999 and the rest are 2000 & 2001. All are UNC. I think I just received an early Christmas present. Very nice ... what do you intend to do with all of them? I can see a few for the personal collection - but 156? ebay perhaps. David

Good question, I really haven't considered yet what I am going to do with them. I will certainly keep some for my collection. ebay and here are other possible outlets. First I need to look them over closely. Maybe I'll try to do that over the holidays.

If you put them up for sale I'm interested in a few of them.

A free venue is right here on the site on the CCF auctions.

Don't forget to look for WAMs on the 1998, 1999, and 2000 cents (for those that didn't get missed) as it could make for a nice extra level of interest (and value)

When I decide to get rid of some this site will absolutely be my first choice. As far as the WAM's that was the first thing I checked for and there were none but that would have been a nice bonus. Hopefully between Christmas and New Years I will get some time to look closer at them. Thanks for all of the suggestions and comments.

pyrbob, for the past two years, I sat at Fred Weinberg's booth looking through a bag of similar errors to buy for myself. It was really, really fun. I picked out the best of the best -- paid a lot more than you did (LOL) but whenever I pull those coins out and they still make me smile. There's no rhyme or reason for it -- they're just fun.
