Hi All, I've just come accross 3 brand new bank notes direct from the reserve bank, they aree all $100 notes. The serials are:
AB 13322331 AC 13322331 AI 13322331 I held lnto these as the serials are more unique (8 digit radar maybe?)
Any advice on the value of this if sold as a set? Im considering just selling the AB and AC, Unless including AI increases the value.
Thanks all, Will upload pics when Home

They're all 8 digit RADAR's, so my opinion would be if you have to sell them, try & sell them as a set, but if I had them in my possession, I'd keep them.
life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved

There would definitely be a premium there, although the fact that they are high face value $100 would probably restrict the premium somewhat. can I ask how you managed to get these from the reserve bank? My understanding was that they wouldn't take requests for specific serial numbers.

Shame they are not low denomination notes.....the % profit would be much greater.
AB / AC combination is nice, but then you have an odd note which would only be worth face.

I came by these at the bank, they were still wrapped in reserve bank plastic, they have serial number label ranges on the outside, just by chance the ranges were alike with different prefix, I hadnt seen this before so I cashed out the 300, there would have literally been 100x sets but this was the only 8 digit radar. The other notes were all sequential. So a set of 13322332 etc could have been saved but lacking funds they have since been circulated. Any speculation on a price? I was considering starting a 99c ebay auction tomorrow, I don't have a note collection myself, only coins so I dont have a real reason to hold onto them, and I can always use some extra funds for the mortgage if there is a premium. As far as 100s go, ive sold $100 radars etc before for $125, usually only nets $8-$10 premium after ebay fees and postage, although ive never seen an identical 3note serial set, let alone uncirculated to base a value off. thanks for the feedback its very appreciated

Thanks, wasnt sure what it would go for seeing the last $100's I sold went for about $120. Also paypal and ebay took about $55 combined from the total and postage ontop etc. Still not a bad return, better than earning any interest.

Those charges are disgusting. $55 it makes it hard to realise a decent profit when they take that much - reduced your profit by 1/3
