I have got this pc. Could you help to identify if it's real or fake. I am sorry that I haven't got a scale. A strange thing to me is that it has 2 opposite edge positions much thinner (worn a lot) than the 2 others. Details as the photos. Edge above "B E" of "LIBERTY" Edge under "921" of "1921" Edge at "L" of "LIBERTY" Edge at "Y" of "LIBERTY"

I see nothing wrong with it. DO you have any concerns or just curious since its a better date? You have true circulation. Prob was cleaned a couple times in its past, but nice even wear.

Hi, Just because its edge worn at a strange shape that I asked. Maybe because it was rotated up and down during circulation that made its worn-out at opposite places. I have tried its "ding" and it sounds good silver too. So it's alright. Thanks for your help. And sorry for my bad English

Could be a planchet issue. It looks genuine, but cleaned. Nice coin though.

Your English is perfectly acceptable. It's nice to have you with us, even if it took a little work to get here. I see nothing which alarms me about the coin. The detail you see on the rim is not out of tolerance for the coin. This is no guarantee that it's genuine, of course. An appropriate scale, capable of 0.01gm, may be had on ebay from Hong Kong sellers for less than US$15. It is inexpensive tecnology. I use the Digiweigh DW100AS, which cost me about $12.

Thanks for your kind help to bring me here . I suppose that it included a Board of Managers to verify my application I usually gather some coins in question / suspicious to bring to a jewelry shop for weighting (free) and even metal analyzing (very cheap) after some months. Of course I can buy a mini scale at local sellers, but I don't, for the reason I will tell you personally. Overall I trust expertise / experience from advanced collectors in some forums I attend. And I will try to learn to identify / judge a coin by direct eyes or photos.

Typical cleaned and worn 21 Peace dollar. Probably F12-15 with details for cleaning.

I agree with the others. Worn and cleaned, but legit. If it helps, I had a Franklin half that was the same way (reeded edge appeared thinner in some places than in others). Actually I have some ASE, including my current pocket piece, which also show this.

We naturally discussed your situation among the Admins, although it was more about how to get you registered from a country we've blocked (because of the number of malicious registrations) than it was about you. It was easy to determine that you'd be a worthy member.

So where does some from Vietnam find a 1921 Peace dollar?

Thanks. I have got it from a trade with a US partner out of the forum. He was very confident about the coin. But as he said he once met a fake one before so I posted it here. And, I have heard that Chinese fakes flooded the world now so we should hunt them all the way.
