Looks EF40, but there are some small/fine scratches on OBV and REV that may detract. I think the S looks good, correct shape and distance from the denticle.

It looks high AU to low MS to me. I have trouble seeing much wear, if any.

Might just be the photos but I would be concerned about the scratches... Might not be noticeable in hand though

It does look better in hand, the two scratches on the cheek are less dramatic. I was hoping it may have a shot at AU since there seem to be traces of luster around the edges of the reverse.

EF40 maybe a details due to scratches and possible old cleaning.

Man, some of you are tough graders. I don't think a details label would be warranted for this coin. Coins are allowed to have marks within a tolerable limit. Remember that images like these are under magnification, and lighting tends to enhance any defects on the coin.

Compare to this coin I found on the bay, for example.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1908-S-INDI...047675.l2557

Looks like deeper, more significant marks on the nose and cheek (not to mention the rim damage at 9 o'clock), yet it gets an AU53. Why? Because marks like these are less noticeable in hand. It is tolerable and a side effect of circulation.

Id agree with Mike1487 definately AU53 because I dont think you would notice anything if you were holding it in your hand
