Today I have been working on my stack of coins that
could go into my problem folder.

In hand, this coin is a sort of unusual color, hard to capture in my pictures.

Any ideas as to what to look for a whizzed coin?

To me whizzed is a coin that has had the fields polished mechanicaly, w/ a brush or something. And you should be able to see scratches under a loupe. If the odd color is all over the coin, maybe it was improperly cleaned w/ chemicals or someone tried to artificially tone it.

Your coin isn't whizzed.

That looks suspiciously like the color imparted to copper by thiourea, indicating an owner who knew just enough to get himself into trouble.

If that's the actual color, that is not original.
