Old Medieval Silver Arabic Coins! 3 Of Them! Help!

Tipton444 New Member United States 24 Posts	Posted 01/02/2015 12:13 pm Hey guys, I have 3 solid silver coins that are a bit beyond my expertise. If anyone can help with the date range, and where they are from that would be so great! I'm probably going to be listing them on ebay for someone so if there's any other information let me know. The first picture is of all 3 coins, and they are not faced the right way (I posted it before and was corrected on what way to face them). allranger Pillar of the Community United States 1391 Posts	Posted 01/02/2015 12:30 pm I have no clue, but they could even be India Princely States or one of the empires from India. They may not even be medieval as that area of the world used hammered coins for a long period of time (and some areas still do to this day). They look to be billon, debased silver, as evidenced by the corrosion on them. Report this Post to the Staff
Tipton444 New Member United States 24 Posts	Posted 01/02/2015 4:46 pm Okay interesting, yeah I was just going off some similar "sultanate of delhi islamic silver" coins I found on ebay, but nothing exactly the same. Yeah I wonder what percent silver they used since it does have corrosion. Thanks for the info, hopefully some others can give their input. Report this Post to the Staff
