I follow two right now. indeetlib and friscomint1793
I like them because they give full detailed descriptions of all of their coins, and provide good photographs.
You know any sellers like that? Edited by scottk 01/18/2015 2:10 pm

Those are the two I buy from and that immediately came to mind. Kevin (indeetlib) is a good guy! I also like greenbaybob and ernie

Never heard of ernie.

Thanks.

Depending on what waters you're swimming in pricewise, there are a few really outstanding EAC guys selling old copper. Good stuff, attributed accurately and priced fairly in the market. You need to be at least in the AU+ per coin market for them to be a really effective but they're quality sources.

EAC coins can get really expensive. Bought a 1812 large cent good for $60. from my LCS and he gave me a deal. As SsuperDdave said, Quote: Depending on what waters you're swimming in pricewise, there are a few really outstanding EAC guys selling old copper I'm not even in over my ankles and swimming over my head. Thanks Scottk, for asking this.

Not sure if he has stuff on ebay, but Tom Reynolds is solid. I have met and spoke to him a few times at a show in Milwaukee. He is really nice and has some high quality items. http://www.earlycoppers.com/

Yeah, I don't get too far out into those waters SsuperDdave. hehe...
I watch indeetlib and friscomint1793 because they usually have a pretty good selection in the $150 and under range.

Quote: Unsolved problems I'm working on: Why are round coins kept in square flips, and why are round pizzas put into square boxes? 1- Paper shears cut in straight lines. 2- Have you ever tried to fold a round box? Now you need two new ones.

1. Hole punchers cut circles. 2. Valentine's day candy boxes are heart shaped, and they close fine. Still unresolved, but thank you for trying.

I have bought a coin or two from think182182 but like someone has said greenbaybob is another good midlevel guy. I have bought a few from him as well. Good luck on your hunt.

Quote: I know Tom personally. Absolutely ethical, willing to sit and talk old copper and, he has some wonderful coins. He likes them raw :-) I noticed that too. His collection (not sure I should even call it that as it's more like his inventory since it's for sale) is unreal. I am in awe at what he has at the shows. Really nice guy, down to earth...not like some of the older dealers that won't give you the time of the day. He doesn't seem to mind people kicking the tires so to speak.

Yes, you can't go wrong with Tom Reynolds. Anything R-6 and up he'll have at least one example available.
