I won this 1929-S Lincoln. These are the seller's photographs. It has a mark on Lincoln's shoulder and another above the N in CENTS. The coin looks like a very nice full red.

Do the two marks take it out of consideration for MS-65?

Thanks for your opinions.

No, it looks MS65RD to me. A tough grader might go 64RD. The marks would take it out of a 66 grade for sure.

MS-64 because of bag marks and chatter. Nice coin.

Killer 29S! I can see cartwheels in the pictures. Too bad he didn't blow the dust off it before taking the pics, it would probably even look better. I look forward to your pictures after you get it.

MS-65RD, worst case 64RD.

The 1929-S Lincoln arrived today. It is a full red beauty. There is the mark on Lincoln's shoulder and a few other scattered light marks on it.

It's a tiny carbon spot. The photo makes it look bigger than it is.

Thanks for your comment on the photos. Cents I seem to photograph well. If only I could capture the luster and detail on silver better. I'm still working and learning.

An MS65 coin is not perfection. An MS70 coin is. An MS65 coin can exhibit a few small imperfections such as this one. The less than full strike and small scratches are what keeps it from going higher. Nice coin
