Nothing shouts out to me it is a fake. The MM looks good, it appears to be in the shallow recess and the darkness around it seems to be consistent with the recesses of the rest of the coin.
you could try to flake off the mm with your fingernail, or look for a gap around the mm (between the mm and the coin) with a higher power loop.
If I had to guess I would say real, but ya never know.
Just my opinion.

My initial impression is that the configuration of the "D" looks off, but I'd really want to see a closeup to be sure.

I don't see any real red flags but then again I'm not a Washington expert. Maybe one of those kind people can help.

Thanks for the opinions. What do you think the grade would be?

I see no reason to think it fake, but with the rim wearing into the letters I can't go much over G4 for it.

The pink stuff is on the outside of the coin holder. I just thought the darkness around the D was indicative of some kind of tampering.
Rest in Peace

I don't think so. Here's mine after having a drop of acetone dropped onto the MM. https://goccf.com/t/170187
