Poll Question
As some of you may know I've been working on a proof Seated dime set for some time now. I don't typically go out of my way to look for an upgrade of an existing coin as it's usually an expensive endeavor when you factor in sometimes taking a loss when selling the coin being replaced. I try to take my time and make sure I'm really happy with the coin I put in the set. I don't usually worry too much about the grade as long as I find the coin pleasing. Well I've come across one that's giving me pause. One of these coins is currently in my set. The other is coming up to auction next month. Before I go into details about grades and costs I'm curious to see what the community's opinion is between these two coins. Which of these two dimes do you prefer? Coin A Coin B

The images and poll don't seem to be working. Both coins are beautiful, and I wouldn't mind owning either one. If someone really bent my arm, over choosing which was nicer I would go with Coin A. I prefer the more vibrant toning, compared to the pastel toning of Coin B. Two excellent coins either way. Edit: Quote: I think I fixed the poll. Are you not seeing the images? I still can't see the images in the original post.

The condition and eye appeal of Coin 'A' and coin 'B' are sufficiently close enough to each other, such that upgrading is not justified.
I like them both.
It is a good thing that I don't know which one is currently in your set.

I think I'd buy Coin B but I wouldn't sell Coin A to get it. Justifiable if there's a grade jump for a realistic price, but they're equivalent aesthetically.

Thanks for the comments. I'll wait a bit to see if others vote or comment then I'll give full disclosure on which is mine and the grades, etc.

I like the looks of Coin B for toning, but Coin A has a better strike so go with coin A IMO.

I voted coin A, because I'm a fan of the more vibrant toning. @TBone, your dimes never cease to amaze me.

Probably coin B for me, the pastel colors on it are very beautiful.

I like B for the subtle toning and the variety hound in me. Looks to be Obverse A, F-101. Unless I am allowing my eyes to trick my brain, the die crack on the reverse along the outer wreath is also a diagnostic for the proper reverse. We could line up the date position to be absolutely sure.

SPOILER ALERT. Please don't read this post if you're planning on voting and havent' done so yet.
So first off, I was kind of expecting a few posts suggesting that it only matters what I think and not to worry about what anyone else thinks of these coins. And for the most part that is what do. However, it's always nice to get others opinions on something even when it comes down to a preference of taste. With that in mind I appreciate that everyone has weighed in without a statement along those lines.
Truth be told that I like both of these coins very much and that's why I'm having a bit of a hard time. Here's where it gets a bit interesting. The coin that's in my set now is graded PCGS PR64 and the one that's coming up for auction is graded PCGS PR67. Both are CAC certified. To my eyes these two coins are not 3 grades apart. If I decide to stick with the coin I have now perhaps I will think about sending it in to PCGS for a grade reconsideration. I'm not big on doing that but it's something I've thought about.
Anyhow this poll has definitely helped me. You see my gut was telling me that there is no reason to switch to the certainly more expensive PR67 coin and this poll helped confirm my gut. The coin in my set now is coin A which it appears is getting the most votes so far. I guess in a way the vote just helps me feel more like I'm making the right choice to stay with my PR64.
Thank you all for participating and of course any additional comments are certainly welcome.
My only wish is that the coin up for auction was one of the dates that I DON'T already have as I'd almost certainly be going after it.
