That looks like it was done with a vice. Can you post a pic of the reverse (back)?

Your coin has a thin film of dried glue with the impression of another cent in it. Soak it in acetone to remove the glue.

Probably Two Cents glued together with Elmer's glue then pried apart.

It does indeed look like a dried glue or plastic on it..what is that from?

i soaked in nail polish remover & hot water.. it did nothing .....how was that applied and for what purpose? thx

Yeah, looks like glue. I just found one today that had glue reverse over reverse.

PMD.If acetone did nothing for it could it maybe be epoxy and not standard glue?
