Enough wear to push it down to into the XF range, I'd think. These images don't give me a good sense as to luster, but I don't see anything that screams "details".

I don't like the looks of that coin at all. Is there porosity in the obverse details? The date looks suspicious too, I wouldn't touch it.

It sure looks like a cast counterfeit.

I'd expect the fields to not look so smooth in that case. I do wonder if these are scans which can really skew your perception of the coin's true appearance. But if it were a casting, a peek at the edge ought to give it away.

It might well be die struck but whatever it is it looks suspect. The 9 and 6 in the date appear misshapen and the hair above the forehead has tiny pinholes all over. Just below the cotton leaves in the hat is a gash of some sort, almost like a crack.

This is a high dollar key date Morgan. It needs to be professionally authenticated.

Looks like a counterfeit to me.

The grainy look of the devices is a big red flag, and it's often seen on fakes. The date is also off.

I was originally approaching this from the standpoint of grade rather than authentication, but looking at the photos again, I do spot something that concerns me, and that's the raised spots in just in front of the second "A" in "America" - those could be indicative of a casting, or a spurious die. I also don't like the size of the "S" mintmark.

I'm coming around to the doubters' point of view, and I absolutely agree with the above comment about a coin like this needing to be certified, especially when it's turning up outside the U.S.

It's not genuine. Date, numerals, letters, devices,...all incorrect for a genuine coin.

If you could weigh it in grams, you'd know instantly.

and if the weight is correct, check the thickness. We've seen many of these counterfeits with the correct weight and outside diameter with the thickness adjusted to achieve proper weight.
