Numismatic News published my article about the 1982 doubled die reverse cent discovered by our fellow forum member "Ziggy9" and posted for the first time here on this forum. Thread: https://goccf.com/t/19265The second paragraph of the article (left column, page 1) reads: "It took Ziegler nearly two months to find the equipment to properly image the coin, but as soon as he had photos to use, he promptly posted his find on the Coin Community Family forum (www.coincommunity.com) asking for help in its identification. Die variety enthusiast Bill O'Rourke and I quickly responded positively that Ziegler had scored a very nice find and that this doubled die had never been listed by any of the major sources to our knowledge." Congrats to Ziggy again for his find, and congrats to the CCF for making the papers!

I was just reading in Coin World a few weeks ago where Bill O'Rourke came here looking for advise on the Walking Liberty halves without engravers initials. For those that don't know he writes the "Found in Rolls" column for Coin World. I believe it was a 1943 that he found that did not have them. Jim

This is so exciting! I'm so glad I started revisiting the forum in time for this. I'm so amazed at Chuck's low estimate of possible surviving examples. This will a very rare variety for a long time. I also just remembered that no mint sets were issued in 82 and 83 except for the privately assembled ones, which would further lessen the chances of uncirculated examples I would think. Ziggy, may I call you Ziggy? I was going to ask if you were going to change your avatar, but I see you already have!
