The hit at the center of the middle bands might disqualify the FB status of this coin. It depends on whether the grader determines that the contact mark constitutes an interruption in the band separation. Pretty nit-picky, but that's how it works I believe. Otherwise, looks like at least MS-64, with attractive toning.

I think it will get an FB. Looks like it also has some nice toning.

MS64. I agree that the middle band may be questionable. The pics are not quite sharp enough to give a definitive FSB

Nice eye appeal, possibly MS65

Thanks for the responses, I'm debating whether or not to send this in. Would it be worth it in the long run?

I guess the key is whether or not you think it does have that band separation. Also which company do you want to spend your money with. I would say ANACs is your best bet for least amount of money to take that chance or pay more for PCGS or NGC.

That's the thing, I'd obviously like to see the FB next to whatever MS number is decided upon. I bought this coin for cheap enough and would like to see a nice margin between what I paid and what it's worth, in case the funds are ever needed. ANACS is probably my best bet, isn't it?

IMHO it's not FSB because of the hit on the middle bands. Recently a post was made with some videos about grading Mercury dimes. They may help you decide on whether you want to send it in for grading. You can check the videos out here
