I've only seen heavily circulated 3 legged buffalos so I can't hazzard a guess. But I'm interested in learning about it.

Is he showing us the edge so we can see what a nice job he did polishing the casting seam?  Has also sold other raw key dates. 10' pole method on this one.....borrowed form RK55.

i cannot tell real or fake from those low quality pictures. In those situations I'd stay away from it.
Whatever it is it has been cleaned.

If you look at the close up of the reverse you would see what appears to be track marks of an electric eraser. Not sure but I'd keep away from this coin. I suspect the leg was removed but difficult to check without a real close up.

It's a fake. It doesn't have any of the obvious diagnostics. 1. The "P" and "U" in E. PLURIBUS UNUM should not be touching the back of the bison. 2. The very hind leg should be weak. His coin:  Authentic coin:
