Hey guys, I picked up some walking liberty's recently and was going to see if I could get your help to give them a rough grade. I was messing around with some coin photograph earlier, so don't be too harsh on the photos that I took. I did the best that I could with my Cannon DSLR! 1936-D 1942-D 1943 1945-D Pictures below: *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. *** to the grading section

Grades range from F-VF...three halves make a whole ounce. With silver trading at around $17 per ounce...and since they are common dates, IMHO... I wouldn't pay more than $7 each for them Walkers are beautiful, so maybe you shouldn't mind paying a premium...enjoy!

1936-D- VF may have been cleaned.
1942-D- XF-45 may be AU-50 hard to tel from pics.
1943- looks about AU-50
1945-D-XF-45
I think you could have done a little better, but I don't think you got ripped.
Just my humble opinion.

Thanks guys, still wanting a few more opinions on this. Looks like the last two were largely different. One person saying $7 each and F-VF and the other saying more in the XF-AU range.
Thanks for all opinions so far guys!

Quote: I did the best that I could with my Cannon DSLR! No, you didn't. Tinypic resizes based on filesize to a max of 1600 pixels. If you crop those images to just the coin in a square, they're probably much larger here as a result. So technically you could have done better. Yes, you overpaid a bit for February 2015. Two years ago, that wouldn't have been true and two years from now it'll probably be untrue again. Don't sweat it.

You're right, I didn't even think about that. I will go back into Adobe Lightroom tonight and crop these images. Also most of you have probably noticed that I shot the first image in different lighting than the last three. Which is why the first picture may look cleaned. I guess it is definitely possible as well.

I'm sure you wont get any AU coins from them but if your looking to buy them for the silver content it isn't that bad of a deal. Here is a link

Well I think I'mgoing to purchase $3 worth of them. Ill let you know what I get. Also, I am assuming that paypal is the best and easiest way to pay? Which puts them at $15.58 per dollar of silver, and an additional $5.95 for shipping. Making each Coin cost about $9.27 each.
