I just wanted to say that the 2015 JFK half obverses that are showing on the ends of my rolls... are GORGEOUS! OMG, totally pristine. The P roll has a frosty look, like the old 05-10 satin finish coins, and the D roll end coin has a semi-proof, or 65-67 SMS look about it. They are totally different in character, but there wasn't even a mark on either visible with the naked eye! Never have the exposed faces of my JFK rolls looked so sexy! I never break open my mint wrapped rolls of JFKs. I just imagine what's in there via the exposed ends. If the coins between the ends this year are as nice as the ends themselves... : DROOL : Just had to get that off my chest.

Thanks for the report and review, ratio411. With rave reviews like that, I can't wait for mine to come in some time this week!

Are these the only ones they're releasing this year? And are the different finishes you described for proof only or not?

Quote: Are these the only ones they're releasing this year? And are the different finishes you described for proof only or not? These are the mint issued pair of $10 rolls... one "P" and one "D" mint mark roll. Technically these are "business strikes", but the mint is only providing them to collectors now. Proofs are different.

I got mine as well. They were not mark free, but MAN, are they nice anyway. Back to the original design. The strikes are great and they almost have the look of silver to them. I am taking pics tonight to go up in my ebay store.

Got mine and they really are nice. I have already broken mine out, I put a pair in Airtites for each of my four grandsons that they will get someday. Hoping at least one of them gets the bug!

Wow, the top one looks like a proof. Wonder what PCGS is grading these at?

Mine are equally as beautiful! Out of the box, the 2015 Kennedy half dollars are better looking than in previous years.

I bought a set of the P and D rolls from the mint for the 2015 series of kennedy's and was delighted with the end coins when I saw how nice the surfaces were... I still haven't gotten myself to the point of opening the rolls to see how nice the ones are on the inside, but if the end coins are any indicator of whats inside I'm sure they will be spectacular.

A coin club that I belong to gave out singles as membership prizes. I noted at the time that these were the nicest circulation Kennedy's that I had ever seen. A noticeable improvement over last year.
